There are only two of these store fronts at the moment. If you are on vacation, this is a must stop in Hollywood. It is at least 1/2 a City block big, and you can take photos on the characters and there is a lot of space. It is great for kids of all ages and I saw quite a few adults buying these Pop! characters. The service at Funko is great, everyone is just a huge smile and they know everything about these life-size, and bigger, characters and from which movie or cartoon or comic book they come. I told him we would come back every time we went to the Pantages. He looked at all the offerings and saw all the replicas and asked if we could come back later. Buddy looked around, his eyes all lit up and he was so happy. We could have easily spent two hours in there. There are all sorts of Pop! dolls, collector items, stuffed toys and other toys mixed with gigantic replicas of movie and cartoon characters. The place is called Funko Pop! and it is amazing. He had never seen it either but it was covered with cool lights, and it was huge and it turns out it was a huge toy store, right next to where we usually stop for a snack before going to the Pantages. Glad I was able to visit but wouldn't go more than once.īuddy and I we're on our way to Frozen, the Musical, in Hollywood, right on the Walk of Fame, for I think the second time. The problem I am starting to have with Funko is that they create outrageous expectations and limited availability to increase demand, but the fans suffer from the way they poorly manage the distribution of their products. When I asked if they could replace the parts they flat out said no which I kind of understand but with all of the hype I just felt meh about the final product. Mine had glasses and they were crooked and the hairpiece was completely off center and didn't properly fit the figure head (the accessories also never stay in the hands and are constantly falling out even though they put a small amount of glue to keep them in place). It's cool to create a likeness of yourself or someone else, but the accessories and the way the figure is put together is very cheap. It was cool to customize the pop figure but once I received it I was somewhat disappointed. ![]() On the day of however, they said that has never been a policy of theirs so the website has very outdated and useless information. The store doesn't open until 12 pm (which is pretty ridiculously late) but online it says that if you get there an hour early at 11 am they begin taking reservations for the make your own pop since there is a daily capacity. I went to the store to specifically do the "create your own pop" but was disappointed by the experience. Store is cool and has a large selection but my problem lies with how Funko manages their customer base.
